How do you deal with friends who are social butterflies?

Im college aged have difficulty with so many people friends and boyfriends alike because I find it annoying to be only one 'friend' of their list of 100 - why is it so hard to find friends who are relatively exclusive (meaning only have a handful of close friends) and who value true friendship rather than thousands of party buddies etc.How do you deal with friends who are social butterflies?
I'm not interested in the social butterflies...but to each his own. I need a small circle of friends that I really care about and that really care about me.How do you deal with friends who are social butterflies?
I wouls ask them to give you tips on how to be a social butterfly, so you can be one to, or they can intruduce you to people so you can have practice.
