hey at one point of time u need to open ur mouth and tell it clearly to mind their work ! you have a personal life too ! every relation has a limitHow to deal with friends who want to control your life?
Tell them that you do not agree with their controlling...be firm and to the point...and also direct..if they don't understand, let them go.. you don't deserve losers... Realising that they are controlling your life is already a sign that you are not naive and understand ur rights.. stand up for yourself...and gluck

whether you do the right thing or not is your life, not theirs
they can suggest stuff, but not say 'you have to do this... or that'
1. It is not their place to criticize your family. They need to back off of that topic.
2. So what if you like what you wear?
3. Not everyone is going to agree on what books one should read. She should get over it.
4. How exactly do they criticize your food?
5, 6, and 7. Can't say since I don't know how, what kind of people and situations they criticize about.
Have you considered getting some new, more understanding friends?
If he can't deal with your actions, I seriously doubt that you both really understand what friendship means. You know, if you are friends, your relationship should be based on trust. Anyway, if your friend tries to control you, try talking to him, and telling him why do you like s much the way you are. He must tell you why he doesn't. Then choose a middle way. If he can't deal with this you must think why do you like at him so much, and what you don't...
a friend in need, is a friend in deed.
so the moral of the story is, real friend are good for you .
