How do I deal with friends that only call when they want something?

We have friends that will literally only call and invite us over for dinner when they want to make some announcement or ask us to watch their dog or something.


How do we deal with this? They are very nice people and they appear to be genuine, but through time we have discovered their underlying motives.How do I deal with friends that only call when they want something?
Always be busy. They will eventually catch on and invite another set of patsies.How do I deal with friends that only call when they want something?
Jordan, I have friends like that. And over time I have just said Im busy.Or, tell them outright NO with their request. You really have nothing to lose, do you?
Stop going. Answer their calls less frequently, and voice your concerns when they arise.
You could talk to them about it and ask them why they keep doing this. If they are really nice people and genuine like you said then you should be able to work stuff out with them.

they not that genuine if they only call to ask you for things. you know don't have to pick up the phone. if not tell them straight up, don't let this become a habit
