How do you deal with friends that put you down?

I am aware that they might be putting me down in a ';fun'; manner. And i can't take ever thing that they say to heart. But it has been getting really excessive. And they just don't treat me well at all and don't give me the respect I deserve. What should i do?!?!?!!?How do you deal with friends that put you down?
If you read your own question do the people you describe really sound like friends? Friends can joke around, but when it goes on and on it doesn't feel funny any more. A real friend is someone you know has your back and you needn't be nervous how they will react to you. Your new hobby should be putting yourself somewhere to look for new friends.How do you deal with friends that put you down?
With friends like that - who needs enemies! It's time to find new friends.
You should ask them why they are doing that. If they continue to be a douchebag then say if they continue doing that you are not friends with them anymore.

The same happened with me. I just stick through and shove it back in thier face if they deserve it. Stand Up for what you believe and dont let people tell you who you are or who you can be.
You find new ones. They aren't friends if they constantly put you down. If you read this from someone else, wouldn't you think the same thing. People can be jerks and you can decide whether to associate with them or not. I would chose not.
I would say that if they are constantly doing it then they aren't really your friends. It shows that they just can't just talk to you like a normal person.





If you KNOW that they are you ';friends'; for sure, then talk to them and tell them that you don't mind the jokes once in a while but you don't want to be the butt of all their jokes.
Then these are not real friends. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF talk **** backs they are your *cough* friends so you know where to stick them were it hurts. if they get mad just be like hey you said some pretty ****** up **** to me but when I say one mere thing you want to get pissed? you stop talking **** to me and I will stop talking **** back. tell them straight like that I BET THEY WILL STOP.
Lose them you deserve better.

If you really can't stand them, then find new friends. Real friends don't put ppl down just coz. real friends give you respect!
